I have seen a couple of links to articles today that refer to how important a positive mind set is when trying to lose weight. REPS NZ posted an article about how negative emotions can harm our health (makes sense) and an interview on BBC TV by GetUK Active States how important exercise is in combatting obesity. My next book in the local e-library (cool idea!) is ‘The untethered soul’ by Michael Singer.
Although it is in many ways on the same lines as ‘The power of now’ it isn’t written quite as well. In general it is a self help book which has a spiritual approach, with yoga as the vehicle for solving issues and problems.
There have been many people try and explain the workings of our mind. But there are many things that Tolle says I his book ‘The power of now’ that really do make sense, about how we think, structure our memories and beliefs and create our world around us.
