Life is fragile: life is short. CHERISH IT

I found out today that a client of mine had died. Well, I actually found out yesterday but held the publication of this post for a day out of respect. Shocked. Stunned. Speechless. Saddened. They were only in their 20’s.

There are so many things I want to say, but I quite simply don’t know where to start. I barely knew this person. But they had a family, friends, a network that is now grieving, and a very young son who won’t even remember them in years to come.

The mark someone leaves on this earth is never ending. Grief is different for everyone. Some days you will feel just fine, others you will feel like someone came along and kicked you in the guts. Sometimes you will see it coming, sometimes it will arrive like a smack on the back of the head.

Remember one thing. Memories are yours, they cannot be taken from you. Cherish those, with a smile and a laugh. remember the happy times. But most of all, be gentle with yourself.

Time doesn’t heal, they lied. But time teaches you how to better deal with your grief.

Love, healing thoughts and smiles to all those of you out there that this affects.

  1. Very true words – life is short x too short for my 20year old son Jacob who we lost in Oct last year after a short 13month battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma. We are slowly getting used to living our lives without him in our world and his love & memories are helping us to ‘smile’ again – see miracles in life everyday.

    • That is so sad. I often wonder why these things happen to beautiful people. hold on to those happy memories, he will live inside you forever. x
