I was having a conversation with a client this morning – casual chat – when this topic came up, and she pointed out something vitally important for everyone who is on a weight loss drive.
She said that the last time she was on a ‘diet’ she used to eat pizza every Thursday after weigh in. Sounds mad? No. I in fact do something similar. We call it free for all Friday. All it means is you don’t deny yourself anything – because as soon as you make a list of cannots you will fail.
What happens in your mind? You instantly want whatever it is you are denying yourself.
That’s why ‘diets’ don’t tend to work long term. The word is associated with pain and suffering, a list of cant’s and something that will start and end.

Dinner: crackers and home made humours, fruit and yoghurt
