I decided that today was the day that I needed to exercise some balance in my life. If I’m not careful, my keen-ness to get this business off the ground will mean that I actually work 24/7. Oh how easy that would be to do, being self employed. So I put a boundary in place today and went out to an area I haven’t been before, to do some orienteering: Ocean Beach, Bluff.
Breakfast: Blueberry orange blast smoothie
Lunch: Moroccan chicken sala
Dinner: Bacon and tomato pasta, Indian spiced yoghurt with fruit
Exercise: Orienteering 1 hour tramp over difficult terrain
Weight loss this week: None. Weight loss to date: 1 stone 3 lb (7.7kg)
After a relatively large loss last week (1.3kg) I can’t expect another this week. I also ate out on Friday which is probably also a contributor, I was on 1lb lost until then!
Here’s my smoothie recipe. A new one, tasty too, but you can rarely go wrong with fruit.
Blueberry orange blast
- 1/2 banana
- 2/3 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 orange, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
Blend all in a smoothie blender, and hey presto!
Indian spiced yoghurt
I added the following sseasoning to my plain yoghurt.
- 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground nutmeg
I was also meant to add saffron but I didn’t have any. Still, it tasted yum, and a nice wee variation to natural yoghurt, pinched from another recipe I spotted online.
I was wondering to be honest, if you guys were getting bored of my daily nutrition updates, so was thinking of stopping them when I get to 100 days. What are your thoughts?
