I have a slightly unusual response to the photo challenge this week. You wouldn’t normally associate sand with being angular, but I spotted this while walking on the last day of the hump ridge track, today. This was on a 3km long beach in Fiordland, remote and with only foot access. THE nearest road is about a 90min walk from here.
I thought it was curious how the sea had washed the sand to look like this. Like a series of little sand Islands.
