I managed them both today: a swim – nice and steady – and a chillax walk in the bush. Amazingly I didn’t get wet, except for my feet as the grassy parts of Thompsons Bush was really waterlogged! Oops. Oh well, still its a stroll and I’m waterproof! I love Thompson’s Bush because it is less formal and you can just stroll, wide paths, across grass, by the river, though the bush, its up to you. It is in the heart of the city, but is like a mini oasis of calm, in a completely different way to the formal Queens Park.
I stopped to listen to the birds.
At the pool this morning, I just went steady, for as long as I had time for. The luxury of the lanes on the deep end side of the bulk head too, which I always consider a treat, as they aren’t always open to the public in the early morning sessions.
This was the scene in the pool, just after I left! Typical!
