What an amazing young man. He is exercising the skill we all should practice, live in the now, this moment, because this moment is all you have.
Imagine being diagnosed with terminal cancer at 15 years old. No, wait, age doesn’t matter, imagine being told you’re going to die.
What’s your options? Live life to the max, and squeeze it all in, or just mope till you go? Which would you choose?
The sudden loss of my mother last year to cancer taught me that life is finite, we only get one shot, stop wasting it. I knew that already of course but the thing that changed my mind (and Stephen’s) was how sudden and short life suddenly became.
Don’t waste a moment, life for the now. Don’t leave this earth regretting a single thing. Live your dreams, go chase those rainbows, make it happen, because you only have YOU.
RIP Stephen, safe in the knowledge that you have changed lives and will continue to do so for many years to come.
