Sadly, I cannot lay my hands on the photo that I would like for this challenge. family, to me means my parents, my sister, and my husband. Due to the fact that I lost mum last year, I cannot get this photo, and I have looked for one containing these people only, and I don’t have one.
So, here are two that represent ‘family’ for me, because that is my only alternative solution.
My parents are very dear to me. I do not always see eye to eye with them, but the sudden loss of mum in 2013 made it all to obvious to me how fragile life is and how important it is to savour every moment. Through the dark times that followed my sister and I became very close and supported each other through.
Life’s journey would not be what it was without my husband Mark. He has been by my side since the day that we met, supporting and guiding me through everything that life has had to offer, ups and downs, through thick and thin. I definitely would not be where I am without him and I love him dearly.
Family, as a term includes many more people than just these four that I mention, and all my extended family mean the world to me too, but if you asked who was my family, I would say my husband, my mum, my dad and my sister, all in equal measure for different reasons.
