Who do you choose to be?

Right-CareerI saw this, or rather heard it, somewhere on the TV today, and I thought what a brilliant question!

Some people think they get a rough track in life, lady luck wasn’t shining on them and so on. It wasn’t till a friend said to be recently that they had been inspired by me to try out a possible career and life path that they may not have otherwise done, till they heard about my bold move to New Zealand, which told them that anything was possible!

I thought oh my goodness, not again!! Here I go, inspiring others, without even meaning to! but hey, its great to hear.

You make your own life choices

You MAKE your own luck. You only have one life, this is not a dress rehearsal. So, back to the question, who do YOU choose to be? Yes, you are choosing every step that you take. So, if you are in a rut and hate any element of your life, you are choosing to keep it like that. You are CHOOSING not to find a solution.

I have hated teaching in the UK for quite some time. I have contemplated a complete career change, I have contemplated emigration before, but this time, I was given very little time to actually decide, before the choice would have been removed from my grasp. Here’s what I thought. Perhaps turn it down, what if it goes wrong? What if I hate it? What if I end up broke?

What if I like it? What if its my dream job? What if I love it? There is no time for what ifs in this life. you must look forward and not back. I do not want to be that person that thinks I wish I had……

Do you?
