The sea, me and you

A little poem I wrote, inspired by this photo that I took today.

image

Howling winds of winter,
Tide far out to sea.
A lone man and his dog,
Walks the mud flats in the breeze.

I stop and watch the water,
The ferry channel clear.
Sea water lapping the edges,
Crisp air making a single tear.

Whistling brisk sharp winds
While sunshine is breaking through.
A walker and his mate,
The sea, just me and you.

  1. Nice one Mel. The view is familiar. Is this the start of another challenge?
