When you walk into the shop it kind of looks like an ordinary running shop, till you look a little closer. As you pass the comprehensive range of running shoes including mizuno, zoot, Kswiss, puma, Newton, Pearl Izumi and the treadmill set up for run gait analysis to go up the stairs cunningly hidden at the back of the shop, another floor reveals itself. Now you realise you are in a triathlon shop.
Two very nice bikes supplied by another local shop Baynes Racing in Milton Keynes greet you at the top of the stairs: Scott, Merida and soon to be joined by a Wilier. The running gear is supplied by Puma, Zoot and Kraft, and cycle gear by Fusion, Pearl Izumi and Kraft. Wet suits stock includes Orca, Zone 3 (local to the area – Loughborough born and growing fast) and 2XU. Gabby tells me she is planning to set up a wet suit hire scheme in the summer when the lakes open. The shop stocks a brilliant range of sports bras, all carefully selected by Gabby to include Aspire, Sportjock, Freya and Anita. You won’t be short of a choice for nutrition either, with stocks from Torq, Gu, Saltstick, Get Buzzing, Powerbar, high 5 to name a few. Not forgetting the compress-sport and 2Xu compression gear…
Considering she has only been open a couple of weeks, I am extremely impressed withGabby’s range of stock, the long list of expansion plans she already has in place, her expanse of knowledge for both triathlon and running, and her absolutely contagious aura of friendliness.
No, I did not know her before this visit, but I certainly will be visiting again, and in fact already have.
